6 Best weekend getaways from Kuala Lumpur after MCO
After nearly 3 months locked in our homes during the Covid pandemic, the government allowed interstate travel. Domestic tourism is highly encouraged for the recovery of the economy, while Malaysian residents are eager to enjoy a bit of nature and freedom.
Here’s a list of staycation ideas a few hours away from KL, easily accessible by car with your family.
CHERATING
Beach, Chill, Fish BBQ… what else? Cherating is a great place to go just for the weekend, only a 3-hour drive from KL. Nothing much to do there, except chill on the beach with a great book or take a walk by the sea and feel the sea breeze. From now until August/September, if you like sensational sport, you can try kite surf.
Tips: If you love good pastry, try “Cafe Marion” where you can buy delicious affordable french cakes such as “chocolate tart”, “Lemon meringue tart”, “cheesecake” & so much more!
