If you are craving for some smoky and hot BBQ in Puchong then you definitely have to try out Akashi BBQ. For RM20, you can get their most popular dish, Genghiskhan which is a lamb dish served in a dome shaped skillet cooked in either on a gas stove or from charcoal flame. The portion of the marinated meat is very generous and definitely worth your money.

Other options available are the fried ramen completed with delicious char siew and egg. This only cost RM10 if you are looking for more than just a BBQ.

2. Aksrha Curry House

In Pusat Bandar Puchong, near an Indian temple there is a restaurant famous for their delicious Banana Leaf Rice. Their Chicken Masala is the local favourite and they also served great vegetarian dishes. What’s even more special is that if you come on Sundays, they will serve Briyani rice.

Other choice is to try out their Rawa Thosai, crunchy on the outside yet so soft inside. This restaurant provide the best and authentic Indian food experience in Puchong.

3. Kok Siong Nasi Kandar


This restaurant has proudly served their well known mixed rice for over 19 years already and still standing strong together. This family business churns out many flavorful dishes such as curry fish head, curry sotong, fried chicken, stir fried vegetables and more. A lot of people said that the taste is equal to the famous Penang Nasi Kandar.

When you enter the premise, you will see them cooking fried chicken in a huge wok and it is such a spectacle.

This restaurant see a huge crowd of hungry customers during lunch or dinner time and it’s easy to see why. Located in Setiawalk Mall, this Korean food theme premise is famous for their ribs with cheese. The amount of cheese is extremely generous and the friendly staff there will melt the cheese for you with a blowtorch. After that, the will wrap the meat around thus creating savory and cheesy meat that will burst out with flavor once you take a bite of it.

They also have other great lunch menu such as Bulgogi Bibimbob, the kimchi fried rice served with soup and green tea for only RM25. The only thing better than the food is the extremely good service by the staff.

5. Bumbu Bali

Bumbu Bali is Balinese food restaurant therefore you can enjoy some succulent cuisines inspired by the region’s signature flavours. The fragrant Nasi Campur features a mixture of seafood (prawns,squid,fish) as well as choice of tender beef or chicken rendang completed with satay.

For dessert, you may try their Pisang Bakar. A fresh grilled and banana served with vanilla ice cream topped with peanuts.

This restaurant has been around for more than 10 years and their great recipe has been passed down from their previous Sifu. Their most popular dish is the Si Chuan dumpling along with their self-made sauce that can only be found there.

Other than that, they also serve  Prawn Spring Roll Chee Cheong. The juiciness of the prawn paired with the contrasting soft and crispy textures of different layers makes a good treat.
