However, those are not the only things you can enjoy and bask in when visiting Danga Bay. Here is our list of activities that you can dabble in when staying in Danga Bay!

1. Enjoy the carnival!

Imagine carnival lights lighting up a quiet beach and the smell of caramel popcorn wafting in the air. Well, in Danga World Theme Park, you no longer have to imagine! This old-school fun fair allows you to pay only for the rides you want to go on with a price as low as RM2 (S$0.66)! Enjoy the rides in this theme park and relive the iconic The Notebook scene when Noah Calhoun fell in love at first sight with Allie Hamilton.

2. Learn some history

It may sound like a snooze cause it’s history, but trust us, it’s not! Here at Rumah Limas, you can enjoy and appreciate the cultural architecture across many states  in Malaysia. Fun fact: the houses used to be restaurants as well, but has since been abandoned, making it free to explore for all. Even though abandoned, we doubt it is haunted. Sorry to disappoint you, paranormal lovers.

3. Indulge in a cruise buffet

It may sound daunting and expensive, but a buffet on this cruise is as affordable as ever with the price of RM50 per person (S$16.55) as it brings you to enjoy the Straits of Johor where you can also get a view of Singapore and Johor’s shoreline. As you eat, you can also enjoy live band performances and open mic karaoke sessions. So, sing and eat your heart out!

4. Relish in a scenic stroll

Walks can be so calming! Hence, you can relish in a scenic stroll at Taman Merdeka which is just a 6-minute drive away from Danga Bay. However, we advise you to visit Taman Merdeka as it is nearing night. Not only can you enjoy a night stroll, but you can also be entertained with a 30-minute light show by the lake, only in Johor Bahru!

5. Go gaming!

Assuming you are traveling with friends and would rather spend time indoors hanging out and catching up, you can do so at Double Trouble Shisha Lounge! Enjoy having a shisha session (how was that for a tongue twister?), competing on console games with your friends and also a karaoke session for the aspiring Mariah Careys!
