Yes, KL Short Stay charges a 3% service fee, which is automatically deducted from your earnings. This fee applies to the total room cost and any additional options selected by the guest (excluding the cleaning fee). It helps cover payment gateway charges and platform support services.
Yes, you will receive payment for any Extra Options selected by the guest. These are added to the total booking cost and included in your earnings. However, a 3% service fee will be deducted from the total earnings, which includes the base rental and Extra Options (but excludes the cleaning fee).
Example:
If your guest is charged RM5,100 in total (RM5,000 rental + RM100 cleaning):
The 3% service fee applies only to the RM5,000 → RM150
Your earnings will be: RM4,850 (rental) + RM100 (cleaning) = RM4,950
If you are SST-registered, enter 8 to reflect the 8% SST included in your price. If you are not SST-registered, enter 0.
Please note that since the price you set should already include tax, you’ll need to decide the amount based on how much you want to earn after tax.
If you are the property host, you are responsible for managing guest check-ins, communication, and support. KL Short Stay assists with listing exposure but does not manage guest-related services.
Yes, you can reserve specific dates for your own use by updating your calendar directly. This ensures those dates are blocked off to prevent double bookings.
Payouts are processed within 7–14 working days after the guest’s check-in, using bank transfer or other local payment methods of your choice.

Yes, you can list your property for yearly rent. However, this is generally not advisable as our platform collects payments online without incorporating a formal tenancy agreement. Additionally, tenants are required to pay the full rental amount upfront for the chosen period.
As a host, you’ll receive the tenant’s profile details once the booking is confirmed. This allows you to review their information and reach out if needed. You can also communicate with the tenant directly through the inbox.
Yes, you can decline a booking if your listing is not set to Instant Booking. With Instant Booking turned off, you’ll be able to review and accept or decline each request manually.
If payment has already been made, cancellations are not allowed. However, if the tenant has not made payment yet, cancellation is possible — but only with a strong and valid reason. Last-minute cancellations are generally not advisable.
Instant Booking: Guests can book and make payment immediately without needing your approval. It’s faster and more convenient for both parties.
Book Now: Guests must first send a booking request. You can review the details and choose to accept or decline the booking before any payment is made.
To disable Instant Booking, simply leave the “Allow Instant Booking” box unchecked on the listing description page. If it’s checked, guests can book instantly and you won’t be able to manually accept or reject their requests.
KL Short Stay does not directly manage properties. However, you can reach out to our Customer Support team, and we’ll help connect you with a trusted local property manager who can assist you.

iCalendar (iCal) is a calendar format that allows you to sync your booking calendar across multiple platforms to help prevent double bookings. By importing or exporting iCal links, your calendar availability can update automatically.
However, please note that iCal only supports one-way sync. For example, you can export availability from your OTA (e.g., Airbnb, Booking.com) or PMS (e.g., Hostaway, Cloudbeds) to KL Short Stay, but you cannot sync updates from KL Short Stay back to those systems. Also, iCal syncs may have slight delays, so it’s important for hosts to regularly monitor their calendars to ensure accuracy.
